Companies of the Samokhvalov family provide workplaces, follow the principles of social responsibility and support charity.

All the companies were created from the ground up and entirely by efforts of the family. During tough times of crisis they sold berries at a loss, baked bread and sold it at low price, but kept the personnel without a single reduction of staff and didn’t cut down salaries of the people.

“Slavyane” bakery means high quality bread at a low price and constant financial aid for our municipal hospital. Since the moment the bakery started its work it sold the bread at the lowest price in the town (9 rubles compared to 19 rubles at our business competitors’). We still do our best in keeping the lowest prices despite the fact of increasing the costs on electricity, flour, petrol. Quality of our bread is known far outside the town, and the Finnish neighbors buy the bread when they come to the town to give themselves and their friends a treat.

Since the end of 2008 the bakery spearheaded by its Director Maxim Samokhvalov helps the municipal hospital an polyclinic by financing purchases of medical equipment (more than 570 thousand rubles as of December 2011). These were surgical instruments, different equipment for medical, maternity and dental department.

“Karelia Berries” means high purchase prices, workplaces, charity and support of children’s sports.

We believe that people should get respectable money for their hard work so “Karelia Berries” supports high purchase prices and doesn’t just buy and sell. We process the berries on high quality level, providing the workplaces and high purchase price.

The company helps churches in uncared-for villages in Karelia and northwestern part of Russia. The financial aid in just 2012 was more than 200 000 rubles.

“Karelia Berries” became a sponsor of children’s football team of the same name in 2012. Up the Berries!
